Member-only sites enable you to create exclusive content accessible only to subscribed members through a paywall system. You can offer both free and paid subscriptions to your protected content.

To create a member-only site in Version 7.1:

  1. Open the Pages panel
  2. Click the + icon next to Main Navigation
  3. Select Member-Only Site
  4. Choose a layout for your homepage
  5. Name your member-only site

The Member-Only Sites panel provides these core functions:

  • Pages: Add content to your member-only site
  • Paywall: Customize access restrictions
  • Plans: Create subscription plans
  • Settings: Modify site configuration

To add content:

  1. Navigate to your member-only site in the Pages panel
  2. Click Add Page
  3. Select a layout
  4. Enter the page title

Key considerations:

  • The first page becomes the homepage automatically
  • Existing pages can be dragged into member-only sites
  • No limit on number of pages
  • SEO options and passwords are disabled for member pages
  • Content is removed from site maps and search engines

For member access:

  • Create a public signup page with digital product blocks
  • Customize the paywall experience
  • Use Summary and Content Link blocks to preview protected content
  • Members can access content through their customer accounts

To remove a member-only site:

  1. Open the Pages panel
  2. Click settings for the site
  3. Select Delete Member-Only Site
  4. Confirm deletion

Note: Deleting a member-only site doesn't delete associated plans, but pages become public unless otherwise protected.

For security:

  • Content cannot be 100% secured once members access it
  • Consider implementing measures to prevent unauthorized copying
  • Update plans and notify members before removing sites
