Manage Your Website Donations Dashboard: A Complete Guide

Store donations appear in your donations dashboard, making it easy to track contributions and revenue. Here's a complete guide to managing donations and donors effectively.

Viewing Donations

Access the central "Donations" panel to check total contributions and revenue. Note that revenue only includes donations from the new donation block, while original block revenue appears in your bank account and sales analysis.

To manage donations:

  • Click "View All" in Contributions to see individual contributions
  • Export donations using "Export CSV"
  • View details by clicking on specific contributions
  • Scroll to load older donations beyond the 100 most recent entries

Contribution Details

Each contribution shows:

  • Date and time
  • Donor contact information
  • Billing address
  • Payment details
  • Contribution amount

Access additional information through:

  • "View Profile" for donor details
  • "View Payment" for payment information and refund options

Managing Donors

Access donor information through:

  1. Open "Lists and Segments" panel
  2. Click Donors
  3. Search by name/email or use filters
  4. Click individual donors to view profiles

Donor profiles display:

  • First donation date
  • Donation history
  • Contact information
  • Email Campaign list subscriptions

Processing Refunds

Issue refunds through your payment processor:

  • Squarespace Payments: Use "Issue Refund"
  • Stripe: Click "Refund Payment"
  • PayPal: Follow standard PayPal refund process

Note: Refunded donations remain visible in the dashboard and cannot be deleted. Refunds don't affect future recurring donations.

Managing Recurring Donations

To handle recurring donations:

  1. Access donor's profile
  2. Click Recurring > General Fund
  3. View renewal details (date, amount, frequency)
  4. Cancel future renewals using "Cancel Recurring Donation"

Customize confirmation emails through Customer Email Notifications.

Enable customer accounts to:

  • Accept recurring donations
  • Speed up checkout process
  • Allow saved payment methods
  • Store shipping addresses
  • Track order details
