
Squarespace Circle: Understanding Membership Statuses & Points
A Squarespace Circle partner program assigns three status levels based on points earned through platform activity: Silver, Gold, and Platinum Partner. Your status determines available benefits and can change over time.
Points System and Status Tracking:
- Check current status on Circle dashboard's upper left
- Weekly email updates track point totals
- Enable [Circle Product Release Notes] notifications for updates
Earning Points: Points accumulate through:
- Increasing client subscriptions
- Being added as a website administrator
- Other platform activities
Status Changes and Annual Reset:
- Initial status assigned based on prior subscription activity
- Status upgrades occur automatically upon reaching point thresholds
- Points reset to zero each January 1st
- Current status maintains through calendar year
- Must maintain point requirements to keep Gold or Platinum status
Example Scenarios:
- New Gold Partner (1,000 points) joining March 2025:
- Points reset January 2026
- Maintains Gold status through 2026
- If below required points by December 2026, reverts to Silver in 2027
- New Silver Partner (0 points) joining March 2025:
- Earns 1,000 points by December 2025
- Upgrades to Gold status
- Maintains Gold through 2026
- Must earn 1,000+ points in 2026 to keep Gold status in 2027
Benefits remain active until period end, typically spanning current year plus next calendar year. Status adjustments occur based on point accumulation and maintenance requirements.
