Private websites are only accessible to owners and contributors. You can control visibility through the Website Availability settings:

Trial Websites:

  • Default: Private access (owners/contributors only)
  • Not visible in search engines
  • Accessible via direct link sharing
  • Can add password protection for selected visitors

Paid Websites:

  • Check status: Settings > Website Availability
  • Public setting makes site live
  • Can remain private after upgrading
  • Password protection available

Online Shop Requirements:

  • Must connect payment processor
  • Without processor, checkout shows "Checkout is closed" banner
  • Banner disappears once payment processing is set up

Website Changes Visibility:

  • Layout pages
  • Blog posts, events, products
  • Page descriptions
  • Style and design settings
  • Content block areas
  • Gallery sections and pages
  • Videos and album tracks
  • Navigation menu updates

Changes become visible after:

  • Saving modifications
  • Visitors refresh the page

Privacy Management:

  • Keep site private until ready to launch
  • Use website password protection
  • Remove indexed content via Google Search Console
  • Hide specific pages from search engines

For public sites, ensure all content and design elements are finalized before changing visibility settings. Monitor search engine indexing through Google Search Console for better control over online presence.
