A site's visibility depends on its current status and subscription type. Here's what you need to know about site publication on Squarespace:

Trial Site Visibility

  • Trial sites are private by default
  • Only site owners and creators can access them
  • Won't appear in search engines
  • Can be shared via direct link
  • Option to add site-wide password for controlled access

Paid Site Publication Status To check if your site is live:

  1. Go to Home menu
  2. Click Settings
  3. Select Site Publication Status
  4. Look for "Published" status

Online Store Requirements

  • Must connect to a payment processor
  • Without processor, checkout shows "not available" banner
  • Connecting processor enables checkout functionality

Publication of Site Changes

Requires Manual Saving:

  • Layout page edits
  • Blog posts, events, products
  • Page descriptions
  • Style and design settings
  • Content block areas

Auto-Updates (on page refresh):
